Basketball Recap: Moorhead Takes a Loss

Moorhead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 62-31 to the St. Michael-Albertville Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Spuds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Knights are ranked 25th).

Moorhead's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for St. Michael-Albertville, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moorhead will take on Sheyenne at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Michael-Albertville, they will square off against Minnetonka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
