The Jordan Beetdiggers and the Desert Hills Thunder squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the Jordan Beetdiggers had to settle for second. They suffered a tough 71-51 defeat at the hands of the Thunder. Jordan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.

Despite the loss, Jordan still got an impressive performance from Preston Cheney, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Ayden Doyle was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Desert Hills was led to victory by Eli Allred and Ben Chase. Allred scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Chase scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chase has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Holman, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.

Jordan are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14. As for Desert Hills, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.

Jordan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Desert Hills, they will take on Dixie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dixie knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 18 matches -- so hopefully Desert Hills likes a good challenge.
