Soccer Game Preview: Sheldon vs. Mountain View

The Sheldon Irish will head out on the road to challenge the Mountain View Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Sheldon's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on South Medford with a sharp 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Mountain View was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Madras could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Mountain View's draw makes their record 0-1-1 this season. As for Sheldon, the victory got them back to even at 1-1-1.

Sheldon was able to grind out a solid win over Mountain View in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Irish since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
