Softball Game Preview: Coral Shores Hurricanes vs. Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes

Coral Shores will head out to take on Somerset Academy South Homestead at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Monday just wasn't the day for Coral Shores' offense. They came up short against Miami Christian last Monday, falling 24-0. Having soared to a lofty 25 runs in the game before, the Hurricanes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, everything went Somerset Academy South Homestead's way against Archbishop Carroll last Tuesday as Somerset Academy South Homestead made off with a 16-7 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hurricanes.

Jazelyn Bermudez was a standout: she scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Fleitas, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Somerset Academy South Homestead now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Coral Shores, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
