Football Recap: Myrtle Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Myrtle can now relate to. They were beaten by the East Webster Wolverines 57-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Wolverines are ranked 44th).

East Webster's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Stidham, who threw for 120 yards and two TDs. Campbell Flora was in the mix too, providing the Wolverines with one touchdown.

Myrtle's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for East Webster, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

As of now, neither Myrtle nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
