Saranac sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Belding on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for Saranac as they're now sitting on five straight.
Allison White spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Saranac saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madie Murillo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Saranac's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Belding, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-9.
