Volleyball Recap: Dale County Takes a Loss

Dale County lost against Ashford back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Yellowjackets. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dale County took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-19.

Jaslyn Smith paced Dale County's offense, picking up seven kills. Smith got some help from Courtney Keith and her four assists. Finally, Smith was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Dale County's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Ashford, they moved to 6-9 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Dale County and Ashford will both be playing Geneva the next time they take the court. The Yellowjackets will host the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
