Preview: Newfane Panthers vs. Medina Mustangs
Newfane is 8-2 against Medina since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Newfane Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Medina Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On January 4th, Newfane opened the new year with a less-than-successful 47-36 loss to Wilson.
Meanwhile, Medina's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Wilson, falling 62-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Medina has suffered against Wilson since March 2, 2021.
Newfane's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Medina, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Newfane strolled past Medina when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 48-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Newfane since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
