Football Game Preview: Thornridge Falcons vs. Rich Township Raptors

Thornridge is 0-4 against Rich Township since September of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Falcons will host the Raptors at 6:00 p.m. Rich Township took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Thornridge, who comes in off a win.

Thornridge took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Centennial with points to spare, taking the game 25-6.

Meanwhile, Rich Township fell victim to Crete-Monee and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Raptors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Warriors are ranked 114th).

Thornridge's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Rich Township, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Thornridge was dealt a bruising 66-18 defeat at the hands of Rich Township when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Falcons were down 52-12.
