Softball Recap: Zane Trace Takes a Loss

Zane Trace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Amanda-Clearcreek Aces, falling 10-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pioneers of the 14-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Zane Trace saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Lyon, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another was Reagan Arthurs, who scored a run and stole a base.

Zane Trace's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Zane Trace will venture away from home to face off against Waverly at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, they will host West Muskingum at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
