Basketball Recap: Wolfson Takes a Loss

Wolfson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 59-36 to the Fleming Island Golden Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 544th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 56th).

Fleming Island got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryce Robinson out in front who posted seven points along with five assists and five steals. That's the most assists Robinson has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Lowery, who earned 11 points.

Wolfson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Fleming Island, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Wolfson will challenge Impact Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Impact Christian Academy will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Wolfson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fleming Island, they will square off against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Riverside: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Fleming Island has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
