Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Gabe Parks and Isaiah Bundrage Lead Chiles to Victory

Chiles's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Calhoun City Wildcats with a sharp 71-51 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Timberwolves' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 358th in Florida, while the Wildcats are ranked 89th in Mississippi).

Leading Chiles to victory were Isaiah Bundrage and Gabe Parks. Bundrage dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, while Parks went 7 of 13 on his way to 17 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Omar Ezzagaghi, who posted three points and seven rebounds.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Chiles was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Chiles moved to 6-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Calhoun City, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.

Chiles and Dawson County will round out the year against one another at at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. As for Calhoun City, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Calhoun City Wildcats face off against the Munroe Bobcats at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Munroe is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season.
