Basketball Game Preview: Zuni Thunderbirds vs. Grants Pirates

Having just played yesterday, the Zuni Thunderbirds will get right back to it and host the Grants Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Zuni is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Rehoboth Christian just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Lynx 63-34. The Thunderbirds were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.

Meanwhile, Grants was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 68-63 to Hope Christian. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now lost four in a row.

Grants' defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Zuni, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
