Preview: Dundalk Owls vs. Kenwood Bluebirds
Dundalk and Kenwood are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Dundalk Owls will head out on the road to square off against the Kenwood Bluebirds at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Dundalk was able to grind out a solid victory over Hereford, taking the game 56-45.
Meanwhile, Kenwood waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They snuck past Randallstown with a 65-59 win.
Kenwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Neo Feehan, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Feehan has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Mbuyi, who scored 17 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Dundalk's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Kenwood, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Dundalk came up short against Kenwood in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 59-55. Can Dundalk avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
