Basketball Recap: Eastern View Drops Season-High Score on Chancellor

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastern View). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chancellor Chargers on Friday, sneaking past 73-70. For the Cyclones, this counts as revenge for the 67-58 victory the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Chancellor still got an impressive performance from Larell Edwards, who posted 20 points and eight rebounds. Edwards is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Reich, who had 12 points and six rebounds.

Eastern View pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Chancellor, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Eastern View will square off against King George at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chancellor, they will take on James Monroe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chancellor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7 points per game this season.
