Volleyball Recap: Service Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dimond, Service was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bartlett Golden Bears. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory last Saturday.

Service walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-17, 19-25, 27-25, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was Jaelyn Lorenzo, who had 14 digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last 13 contests. Kaitlyn Smith also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Service's victory bumped their record up to 14-8-3. As for Bartlett, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-22-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Service will challenge rival Chugiak at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bartlett is set to face off against their familiar foe Eagle River at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
