Volleyball Recap: St. John XXIII Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when St. John XXIII challenged Hallsville on Saturday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats.

Aaliyah Philips-Robinson paced St. John XXIII's offense, picking up three kills. Philips-Robinson got some help from Skyden Glynn and her ten assists.

St. John XXIII has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Hallsville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-9.

St. John XXIII didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Santa Fe on the 30th. As for Hallsville, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Jacksonville on the 2nd.
