Basketball Recap: Dr. Phillips Comes Up Short

The Dr. Phillips Panthers didn't have quite enough to beat the Providence School Stallions on Tuesday and fell 53-50.

Leading Providence School to victory were Colton Nuualiitia and William Stewart. Nuualiitia shot 83% from the field en route to 12 points and six boards, while Stewart went 6-for-15 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds. Stewart also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Ryan Gornto was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Dr. Phillips now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Providence School, their record is now 3-1.

Dr. Phillips has already played their next contest, a 51-48 win against Mainland on the 28th. As for Providence School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-68 defeat against Andrew Jackson on the 28th.
