Baseball Recap: Bishop Eustace Prep Find Success

Bishop Eustace Prep won the last time they faced Cherry Hill East and things went their way on Thursday too. The Crusaders had just enough and edged out the Cougars 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Bishop Eustace Prep got a great performance from Chase Brandt as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave Brandt a new career-high.

At the plate, Franco Iannone was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Bishop Eustace Prep's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Cherry Hill East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Eustace Prep will square off against Seneca at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cherry Hill East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shawnee at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
