Baseball Recap: Eastside Victorious

Eastside won against Clifton on Wednesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Ghosts sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the West Milford Highlanders. The Ghosts haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Elian Colon looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Kairo Reyes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Eudrin Rosario, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Eastside's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for West Milford, they dropped their record down to 8-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastside will host Bergen Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for West Milford, they will square off against Passaic Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
