The Crestwood Comets will challenge the Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Crestwood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Crestwood came up short against Dallas and fell 8-3.

Alexa Toniatti made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilkes-Barre). They never let Wyoming Valley West get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolfpack considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Grace Simko, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Hope Burke was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.

Wilkes-Barre always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Crestwood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Wilkes-Barre, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-10.

Crestwood suffered a grim 13-4 defeat to Wilkes-Barre in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
