Washington came out on top against West Craven on Tuesday thanks in part to Emma Orr's efforts. Orr wasn't messing around, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). The pitching appearance was her seventh straight with seven or more strikeouts.

Orr's strong effort led Washington over West Craven and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington is a perfect 10-0 against West Craven going back to May of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
