Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Zachary + How To Watch

Zachary had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-49 win over the Northshore Panthers. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Panthers are ranked 57th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Zachary's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ian Edmond, who posted 13 points. The dominant performance also gave Edmond a new career-high in field goal percentage (80%). Deezy Collins was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Zachary's record now sits at 7-1. As for Northshore, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Zachary and Huntington will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Broncos will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Northshore and McDonogh 35 will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
