Volleyball Game Preview: Mesquite Wildcats vs. Marcos de Niza Padres + How To Watch

Mesquite has gone a perfect 10-0 against Marcos de Niza recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Wildcats will head out to square off against the Padres at 6:00 p.m. Mesquite is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

On Monday, Mesquite beat Cactus Shadows 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 20-25, 25-23.

Mesquite's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Merritt Cleasby, who had seven digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Cleasby a new career-high.

Cleasby wasn't the only good servers: Mesquite was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cactus Shadows only served nine.

Meanwhile, Marcos de Niza lost 3-0 to St. Mary's on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Padres in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost eight in a row.

Marcos de Niza's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Mesquite, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.

Mesquite took their victory against Marcos de Niza when the teams last played on October 1st by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
