Basketball Recap: Wright City Comes Up Short

Wright City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. The contest between them and Christian Fellowship didn't end well, with the Wright City Wildcats falling 61-47. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 486th, while Christian Fellowship are ranked 189th).

Christian Fellowship found their leader in sophomore Jake Davis, who went 9 for 17 en route to 23 points along with seven assists and three steals. Davis is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Conklin, who posted ten points.

Wright City's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Christian Fellowship, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wright City will host Clopton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christian Fellowship, they will face off against North Missouri HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
