Baseball Recap: Beloit Memorial Purple Knights vs. Wilmot Panthers
Beloit Memorial extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 2-4 in the process. They fell 11-8 to the Wilmot Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Wednesday.
Owen West made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Braylen Huebbe, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
As for Wilmot, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.
