Soccer Recap: Silver Comes Up Short

Silver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Deming Wildcats. Silver were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Deming earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Silver's goal came courtesy of Coy Theobald, who's now up to four this season.

Silver's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Deming, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Silver will take on rival Chaparral at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Deming is set to challenge their familiar foe Santa Teresa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
