Kofa is a perfect 10-0 against Yuma since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Kings will challenge the Criminals at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Kofa came up short against Tolleson and fell 7-4.

Hailey Alvarez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jazmyn Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Yuma made sure to put some runs up on the board against Cortez on Tuesday. The Criminals blew past the Colts 17-1. Considering the Criminals have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Elia Palencia was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Jeslyn Ortiz also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Yuma always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Yuma's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Kofa, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Kofa took their win against Yuma when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 18-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Kings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
