Recap: Wellington School Jaguars vs. Grove City Christian Eagles
The Wellington School Jaguars can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 57-28 win over Grove City Christian. Winning may never get old, but Wellington School sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Grove City Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Vanzuiden, who scored seven points along with three steals and three blocks.
Wellington School has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. As for Grove City Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wellington School will take on the Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Tatum Lusher and Elodie Ware. As for Grove City Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Flames at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th.
