Softball Recap: Rush-Henrietta Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Rush-Henrietta was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of the Webster Schroeder Warriors by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Royal Comets in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Rush-Henrietta's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Webster Schroeder, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rush-Henrietta will challenge Penfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Royal Comets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Webster Schroeder, they will square off against Fairport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.74 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
