Basketball Game Preview: Armstrong Wildcats vs. Atlee Raiders

Armstrong hasn't had much luck against Atlee recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Armstrong Wildcats will welcome the Atlee Raiders at 7:30 p.m.

Armstrong is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 67 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Highland Springs on Friday. They were beaten by the Springers 88-20. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Atlee didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Patrick Henry on Friday, but they still walked away with a 46-41 win.

Armstrong's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6. As for Atlee, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-10.

Armstrong strolled past Atlee in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 59-44. Will Armstrong repeat their success, or does Atlee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
