Basketball Recap: Wayland-Cohocton Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Wayland-Cohocton hadn't done well against Haverling recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Wayland-Cohocton Eagles came out on top against the Haverling Rams by a score of 50-37. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Rams back in December of 2024, they had to take a 53-41 defeat.

Wayland-Cohocton's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Haverling, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayland-Cohocton will head out to take on Midlakes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Haverling, they will challenge Hornell at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
