Volleyball Recap: Lucas Takes a Loss

Lucas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Plymouth Big Red. The Cubs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Big Red apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Lucas actually scored more points across those five sets (97-89), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 8-25, 25-16, 25-19, 16-25, 15-12.

Lucas' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Plymouth, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Lucas has already played their next matchup (against New London), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Plymouth, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Mansfield Christian on the 25th.
