Baseball Game Preview: Crockett County Cavaliers vs. Lexington Tigers

The Crockett County Cavaliers will take on the Lexington Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Tuesday, Crockett County didn't have quite enough to beat Huntingdon and fell 4-2. The game marked the Cavaliers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lexington lost 12-2 to Jackson Christian on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lexington got a good showing from Aiden Seaton, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Seaton posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

Crockett County's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
