Softball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Liberty Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 16-6 to the Tree of Life Christian Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 30-7 on April 7th.

Lilly Raymond made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Audrey Soliday, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Liberty Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Tree of Life Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian Academy will challenge Columbus Torah Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tree of Life Christian, they will face off against Delaware Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season.
