Vian beats Keys for their fifth straight win

Recap: Vian Wolverines vs. Keys Cougars

The Vian Wolverines had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They blew past Keys 63-12 at home. The result was nothing new for Vian, who have now won five contests by 27 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Brannick, who picked up 115 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Draighton Fletcher, who gained 161 total yards and a touchdown.

Vian's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.8 points per game. As for Keys, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Vian will head out on the road to face off against Prague at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Prague has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 214 points over their last five games. As for Keys, they will be playing at home against Okemah at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Okemah will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
