Volleyball Recap: Paoli Comes Up Short

Paoli lost against Southwestern back in September of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9.

Kalyn Hannon paced Paoli's offense, picking up four kills. Hannon got some help from Maddie Vernon and her eight assists.

Southwestern had a senior duo take command as Hillarie Buchanan had 20 assists and five digs and Jocelyn Johnson had 11 digs and one assist. Buchanan has been hot, having posted 16 or more assists the last seven times she's played.

Paoli has been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for Southwestern, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Paoli has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Clarksville on the 27th. As for Southwestern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against South Central on the 27th.
