            Softball Preview: Denver East Angels vs. George Washington Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            The Denver East Angels will head out on the road to  square off against  the George Washington Patriots  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Denver East has given up an average of 11.1  runs per game this season, but Tuesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Denver East couldn't beat Northfield  on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Angels lost  16-4 to the Nighthawks. The Angels haven't had much luck with the Nighthawks recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
 Denver East saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Hailey Carson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, George Washington came up short against  Denver South on Thursday, falling  14-2.
  Muggy Duffy made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  doubles and one  RBI.
 Denver East's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for George Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
 Denver East came out on top in a nail-biter against George Washington when the teams last played  on September 4th, sneaking past  12-11. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Angels since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
