Softball Recap: Union City Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Union City finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Elizabeth Minutemen, falling 9-1. The Soaring Eagles have struggled against the Minutemen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Union City's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Elizabeth, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union City will take on Fort Lee at 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elizabeth, they will host Summit at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
