It's playoff time, and Sumiton Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tharptown Wildcats a 13-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 15 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Sumiton Christian, bringing their record up to 27-20-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Tharptown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-22 record this season.

Sumiton Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 win against Sulligent on the 6th. Tharptown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
