Softball Recap: Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics with a sharp 9-1 win on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-5 back in April.

The team relied heavily on Karina Erickson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Libby Bell, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons' victory bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Lyle/Pacelli, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons has already played their next contest, a 17-0 loss against Cleveland on the 12th. As for Lyle/Pacelli, they will square off against Spring Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
