It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rio Hondo Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Flintridge Prep Wolves 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Kares: when they faced off against the Wolves on Tuesday, they had to take a 14-2 defeat.

Rio Hondo Prep has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Flintridge Prep, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Rio Hondo Prep will face off against Chadwick at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Kares are facing the Dolphins at the right time seeing as the Dolphins are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Flintridge Prep, they will take on Polytechnic at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
