Baseball Recap: Calhoun Cougars vs. Horace Mann Lions
On Monday, the Calhoun Cougars had just enough and edged the Horace Mann Lions out 9-8.
Kai Lefkowitz was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. Quentin Ruffin was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.
Calhoun is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Horace Mann, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
