Softball Game Preview: Riverside Rebels vs. Greene County Tech Golden Eagles

The Riverside Rebels are taking a road trip to face off against the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Riverside's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Corning with a sharp 18-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won eight games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Greene County Tech posted their closest victory since March 10th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Maumelle 2-0. The win was nothing new for the Golden Eagles as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Greene County Tech pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Riverside, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Riverside might still be hurting after the 13-0 defeat they got from Greene County Tech in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
