It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but New Albany had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Lincoln Lions 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Lions back in April, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Levi Starinsky paced New Albany's offense, picking up 11 kills. Starinsky got some help from Austin Noreikis and his 30 assists. Starinsky was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

New Albany is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Lincoln, they moved to 20-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, New Albany will challenge Thomas Worthington at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The CARDINALS will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
