Volleyball Recap: Lakewood Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lakewood lost against Valor Christian back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Eagles.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-15.

Emerson Irving paced Lakewood's offense, picking up eight kills. Irving got some help from Morgan Thompson and her seven assists. Finally, Athena Kirschenman kept Lakewood's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Among those leading the charge was Harper Scott, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted since October 2nd. Kinsley Bernum also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Lakewood dropped their record down to 7-16 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Valor Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Lakewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valor Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Thompson Valley on the 31st.
