The Beulah Miners are taking a road trip to challenge the Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beulah is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.

Beulah is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Dakota's top teams: Nedrose, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Beulah was ranked sixth). Addie Dale-Geiger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Cassie Christensen was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 12 matchups. Elli Weidner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
