Shadow Ridge has gone 7-2 against Green Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will take on the Gators at 6:00 p.m. Shadow Ridge will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Shadow Ridge had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Cheyenne on Tuesday. The Mustangs blew past the Desert Shields 3-0.

Shadow Ridge never let Cheyenne on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-23, 25-8.

Shadow Ridge found their leader in freshman Alex Wisniewski, who had nine assists and two aces.

Meanwhile, Green Valley came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chargers.

Green Valley was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-11.

Shadow Ridge pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Green Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 14-17.

Shadow Ridge took their win against Green Valley when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
