Football Game Preview: Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays vs. Sneads Pirates

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy is 0-4 against Sneads since October of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Stingrays will take on the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Lighthouse Private Christian Academy has given up an average of 26.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy came into their game last Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Monroe Academy, falling 43-22. While losing is never fun, the Stingrays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 527th in Florida, while the Volunteers are ranked 240th in Alabama).

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Sneads and Jefferson County, and Sneads kept the tradition alive. The Pirates took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 39-6 victory over the Tigers. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their six-point performance the contest before.

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy better keep an eye on TyShawn Travis. He was instrumental in Sneads' win, rushing for 103 yards and one TD. Travis' longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Jacob Gilcrease was in the mix as well, providing Sneads with two scores.

Sneads was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 513 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Sneads, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy couldn't quite finish off Sneads in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can the Stingrays avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
