Carmichaels came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the West Greene Pioneers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Monday.

Jas Zdravcky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Colin Andrews was excellent, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Andrews, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Carmichaels' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Greene, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

As of now, neither Carmichaels nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
